Tour plans
Day 1
-
We collect you in Krabi and drive to Surat Thani province.
-
A good Thai lunch.
-
Onto a raft and down the river. The raft has a low seat, so you stay dry.
- The river takes you somewhere quiet and untouched, with tall forest and rock walls standing over the bank.
- We visit a Buddhist forest temple in a village along the river. There is a Buddha image inside the cave — a beautiful old temple and a place Thais hold sacred. It makes an impression.
- Halfway down there is a stop for coffee or tea brewed the old way in bamboo; the guide lights a fire and boils the water.
- Afterwards we drive to a hotel in the jungle. Free time, and a pool if you want it.
-
A good dinner.
Day 2
-
Breakfast at the resort.
-
Ready to leave for the pier.
-
A Thai wooden boat takes us to the large floating raft with the rooms and restaurant.
-
Arrival at the floating hotel, check in and free time — kayaks if you like, and a cold Thai beer.
-
Lunch. For groups of 2–4 the boat is shared with another group.
-
Back on the boat to Guilin (Khao Sam Klao), where three peaks rise out of the water. Time for photographs, then on.
- The forest, the water caves and the mountains from a bamboo raft, with walking along the way — you may meet wild elephants and gibbons, and you will certainly hear them.
- Great stands of bamboo, and tall trees of every kind.
- Then the bamboo raft reaches the Coral Cave, where lime-rich water and the air inside have built stalactites shaped like coral, and the limestone holds fossils of single-celled sea creatures from 250 to 400 million years ago. There is free time for photographs.
-
Back to the floating raft — through the forest to the boat that takes us to the hotel on the water.
-
Dinner and free time.
Day 3
-
Morning safari — a boat ride out into the early mist.
-
Breakfast and free time.
-
Check out of the hotel and the journey back.
-
Local Thai food.
-
Arrival at the Phuttha Bang Thong temple, one of the most beautiful in Krabi province, built around 1940.
-
Back to your hotel, with a smile and something to remember.

The Heart of Krabi — a Thai Village on an Island
You will see a Thai village on an island in Krabi province and watch everyday country life for yourself, animals and all. There are no cars at all on the island — everyone gets around by motorbike. A great favourite with our guests.
